Project Outcome

Through the level design of the map, I truly experienced for the first time the importance of environmental storytelling for player experience. When trying to guide players with broken buildings and light sources, I found that spatial layout itself is a silent narrative language.

High Concept

A robot traverses an ancient alien city in search of a mysterious treasure. The environment is inhospitable to humans, so an expeditioner talks to the robot through comms from their ship, guiding its movement. They make their way to the entrance of a grand pyramid.
